Self-Care: Unleash Your Inner Yogi

Yoga is a workout routine, but it is also a philosophy and way of life. Many people who regularly practice yoga start off with the intention of working out. However, they soon find that yoga has much more than just physical benefits. It also helps improve mental health.

The physical benefits of yoga are seemingly endless. Yoga can increase your strength, flexibility and stamina. It can also improve body alignment and balance, while reducing joint pain. Mentally, yoga can improve self-confidence and body awareness. It also reduces stress, increases relaxation and can lead to better sleep.

If you want to start practicing yoga on a regular basis but don’t know where to start, try this 30-day challenge. On the first of the year, I stumbled upon this YouTube video series called “30 Days of Yoga.” I love the woman who facilitates the series. I love these videos because it takes just a little amount of time each day to challenge myself and feel accomplished—and even a little sore at times.
