Personal Growth is Not Easy

Embarking upon a journey toward transitional growth is not an easy task. Here are some acts of self-care that will help you along the way when you're feeling overwhelmed, drained, anxious or upset.

Exercise

Get rid of that pent up energy that causes anxiety and stress by exerting yourself physically.

Bubble Bath

Soaking for 20 minutes in a bubble bath will relax your body and mind. Light candles and put on soft music for extra points.

Be Present

Slow down, and take a minute to examine where you are and what you are doing. Notice the breeze, smell the air, and be present in this beautiful moment.

Eat Healthy

Everyone has heard the old saying, "You are what you eat." By putting healthy food into your body, you will naturally feel better than if you eat junk food.

Meditation

There are countless benefits to meditation, which include exercise, mindfulness, pain management and emotional wellness, just to name a few.

Lunch Date

Having lunch with a friend can be such a positive exchange of energy. If you have the option of sitting outside, that's even better.

Journaling

Having a safe place to vent your thoughts and emotions can help to release some energy, while giving you an alternative way to process your feelings.

Good Night's Rest

It is hard to feel your best when you are running on little sleep. Unwind earlier than usual tonight, and allow yourself to go to bed a couple hours early.

Reward Yourself

Has it been a while since you spoiled yourself? Get a pedicure, buy a new outfit, go to a matinee, or do something else nice for yourself. You deserve it!

Ask For Assistance

Even superheroes need a sidekick every once in a while. Recruit others for help when you need it. They'll be happy to assist you.
